Overview

We currently have a need for Full-Time Assistant Teller Supervisor in the Raynham Office.  This position to assists the Teller Supervisor the with the coordination of Teller activities and to act as a teller during times of high transaction volume.

 

The ideal candidate is flexible to working a variety of days, evenings, and Saturdays.  Flexibility with location is also preferred. Prior experience in a Universal Banking Role is preferred.

 

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assign duties and work schedules to Tellers to ensure efficient functioning of department.

The ability to work days, evenings, Saturday hours and work overtime as needed. The ability to change schedules when management deems necessary.

The Part time Assistant Supervisors will need to be flexible in the hours and days that they work to cover staffing shortages which will include the Teller Supervisor/Manager being on vacation or leave.

Coordinate training for new tellers.

Approve checks for payment verifying and making decision to pay.

Effectively address and resolve customer complaints.

Review tellers' reports of daily transactions for accuracy when teller is out of balance.

Consolidate and balance daily transactions.

Ensure supply of money for financial institution's needs based on requirements and business demand.

Ensure that all branch security and audit procedures are being followed and control access to vault.

Count and record currency and coin in vault.

Give teller performance input to supervisor.

Maintain harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

Actively work as a teller, attend staff meetings regularly and work overtime as needed.

Participate in monthly one on ones with staff.

Remove deposits from and balances cash in automated teller machines and coin machines.

Perform all duties professionally and within the Bank's quality service standards, including maintaining customer confidentiality.

Consistently meet monthly performance goals.

Attend and participate in staff meetings regularly.

 

COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of all applicable regulations and laws relating to day to day duties including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending and Regulation E.

Expected to be up to date on all requirements for annual compliance testing requirements. Must be knowledgeable and able to effectively apply this knowledge for day to day activities and responsibilities.

Complete appropriate compliance training and ensure staff complete all relevant compliance training and have an understanding of procedures related to their position.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 3 TO 11 employees in the TELLER LINE if the direct supervisor is not available. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include the coordination of training employees in the absence of the supervisor; assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

SECONDARY DUTIES:

Assist with the preparation of composite reports from individual reports of subordinates, for example, Up sell Program, All Star Program and Branch Cash Reports.

 

OTHER SKILLS:

Maintain a basic understanding of word processing and spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Maintain an excellent understanding of COCC & Insight system.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; and at least 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
