This position will support both the VP Community and Public Relations and the VP Community Education /CRA Officer with responsibilities related to Community Relations, Community Reinvestment Act, HarborOne Foundation and HarborOne U.


Community Relations:

  • Become an administrator and database expert for the GIFTS Online system.
  • Convert and manage Bank donations process in GIFTS Online system:
    • Outline process for Bank donation requests
    • Create online application and database program
    • Inform/convert legacy requests to online system
    • Establish process that integrates with finance department
    • Create and maintain contributions reports.
    • Prepare contribution requests to be reviewed and approved
  • Activation and fulfillment of sponsorships, follow up with nonprofit partners after donation approvals:
    • Organize appropriate media release/pictures/meet & greet
    • Integrate employee volunteer opportunities
    • Orchestrate further leverage of positive brand image
    • Attend/Volunteer at events
  • Provide high level of customer service and volunteer committee support for scholarship and other community relations programs.


Community Reinvestment Act:

  • Document CRA eligible donations from all Bank sources as they happen rather than leaving a major look back project during the preparation for an exam.
  • Prepare annual updates for the Public File and make changes at all Bank locations.
  • Manage annual updates for Bank CRA related Policies and Procedures.
  • Become an administrator and database expert for the CRA Wiz system:
    • Upload the quarterly Bank and Merrimack HMDA and Small Business Loan data
    • Manage, edit and geocode data files
    • Run standard reports for analysis and the Bank’s performance scorecard
    • Prepare special reports at the request of Fair Lending and Senior Management
  • Track community development activities, Officer Community board volunteer roles and hours, and other Bank activities, which assist HarborOne in meeting its CRA obligations.


HarborOne Foundation:

  • Create procedures for the Foundation processes.
  • Organize and maintain the Foundation official records, prompt annual policy reviews.
  • First review of Foundation applications to ensure packages are complete.
  • Prepare Foundation board package materials.
  • Prepare Foundation grant documents for review by the Board.
  • Organize and plan annual Grantee event.


HarborOne U:

  • Administrative support and record keeping for U activities
  • Other duties as assigned


At least 3 years recent database management experience. Prior experience in a role that was considered to be an Administrator or Super User for data base software such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM), MCIF or Grant Management Software required. Experience with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) a plus. This position is frequently required to travel locally. Therefore, must maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation. Must have the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to attend events & meetings during the evenings and weekend to meet needs and initiatives. Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year College preferred. 


Strong PC Skills with an excellent understanding Microsoft Office and database software required. Excellent Excel skills with the ability to set up spreadsheets, use advanced formulas, and create graphs from data is necessary.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees and external stakeholders. Must have excellent presentation skills; design, develop, create, edit and update presentations using PowerPoint.

Ability to conduct research and provide analysis; interpret, analyze and present findings. This position must be able to work and solve problems independently. Must be highly organized, with attention to detail skills and the ability to monitor own work for accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all work and display a high degree of professionalism in all interactions.
