We currently have an Assistant Branch Manager position available. The position is full time/40 hours a week and requires flexibility with hours and locations.
Through the direction of the AVP Branch Officer, responsibilities will include the proper servicing of all customers and overseeing the daily operations at the branch.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Service and open new accounts and loans. Solve customer problems and/or answer customer questions.
Provides and directs subordinates in the consistent delivery of service excellence.
SALES: Utilize every opportunity to match customer needs to HarborOne products. Offer customer product information to guide them in financial decisions. Develop and monitor selling skills of subordinates; Meet sales goals and work with
manager on setting & achieving branch goals.
LOAN and MORTGAGE SERVICING: Interview customers and advise them of our loan products. Approve loans within HarborOne Bank guidelines and authority. Complete appropriate paperwork to disburse loans; advise customer of approval or denial of loan. Maintain a complete understanding mortgage and loan products. Assist customers in the completion of mortgage and loan applications making recommendations of most appropriate product that meets their needs.
Work closely with the Bank at Work and the Business Services Officers to develop relationships with existing and new payroll companies as well as Small Business.
SUPERVISING/DAILY OPERATION: Ongoing development of employees. Oversee the daily branch operation ensuring that all policies/procedures are followed. Responsible for delegating or performing daily work in teller and customer service area. Reconcile monthly inventory of negotiable instruments sold and on hand.
Ensure all product literature is up to date and perform regular quality checks to ensure appropriate material is posted and available.
SECURITY: Follow proper security procedures for opening and closing of the branch. Training and enforcing all branch security procedures. Respond to after hours alarm.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Assistant Branch Manager is required to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("NMLS"), obtain a unique identifier and annually renew the registration, as defined by the S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of all applicable regulations and laws relating to day to day duties including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending and Regulation E.
Maintain an up to date understanding of Bank policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.
Expected to be up to date on all requirements for annual compliance testing requirements. Must be knowledgeable and able to effectively apply this knowledge for day to day activities and responsibilities.
Complete appropriate annual compliance training and ensure staff complete all relevant compliance training and have an understanding of procedures related to their position.
Monitor employee's understanding and consistency in use of quality service standards.
Maintain a complete understanding of the Bank's savings and loan products, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain an understanding of harbor ones mission/objectives and communicate them to staff. Handle all activities within the guidelines of confidentiality and professional courtesy.
Each branch has between 10 - 24 employees in each location.
Directly supervises 2 to 5 employees in the Customer Service Area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
