  • Overview

    This position assists in maintaining and inspecting Bank Property including; lease locations, buildings, equipment, utilities and furnishings. Responds to general maintenance requests from help desk calls, assisting in security tasks, coordinating activities of multiple vendors.  Effectively communicates with Maintenance Technician and management on any issues, concerns or observations needing to be addressed. Ensures work is completed on time and with a high level of customer service. The position requires strong communication skills, a flexible schedule, the ability to work independently in various locations on short notice and the ability to prioritize and switch gears frequently.

     

    Responsibilities

    Assists with capital expenditure projects.  Work with vendors to get projects done on time.  i.e., branch carpet replacements; drive-up equipment upgrades; branch renovation; furniture replacements. 

     

    Determine appropriate vendor to utilize for all repairs. (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC etc.)  Must maintain an understanding of the relationship with all vendors to understand who should be called.

     

    Assists Maintenance Technician with building equipment and utilities systems to maintain proper heat, cooling, power, water, plumbing, etc., Assists outside service representative in checking, maintaining, and repairing building equipment and utilities systems including Generator testing.

     

    Provides assistance and direction on outside vendors service and repair work.

    Ensures outside trash pickup at each branch.  Washes windows and drive-ups as needed throughout the year. 

     

    Performs general maintenance and cleaning as needed.  Completes inspections and tests, and maintains logs and records reflecting results.

     

    Maintenance needs and problems are promptly identified and resolved or reported.

     

    Maintenance functions are well coordinated with individual department operations.  Assistance is provided as needed.

     

    Trouble shoot phone line problems to determine which vendor is to be called when service is needed. Maintains over 100 Verizon phone lines

     

    HELP DESK: Coordinate and monitor calls requesting facilities services. Initiate actions by vendors or Corporate Services staff tracking status to completion using the online tracking software.  Determine priority of issues coming into the help desk, confer with corporate staff to outline work plan and assign duties.  Manage ongoing help desk tickets until issues are resolved.     LANDSCAPING: 

    • Works with Landscaper and Irrigation vendor to assure proper maintenance of lawns, shrubs, trees and flowers.
    • Inspects properties after snow storms to make sure all walkways and parking lots are clear of snow and ice.
    • Checks landscaping needs and reviews sprinkling system repairs as necessary
       

    SECURITY:

    • Perform daily maintenance of the Access Control, Cameras, and Alarms Systems for HQ, Branches and Remote ATM’s. 
    • Work with Training on new employee setup with badge and building access 
    • Be part of the "Alarm Team" for the Bank assisting with any alarm issues that may arise.       
    • Performs inspections of all remote ATM's. 
    • Provides emergency, 24 hour on call service as required.
    • Assisting employees with key access as necessary
       

    Manages and maintains spreadsheets for lighting requirements for all locations.  Recommends changes as needed.  Spends time researching newer and more efficient building and maintenance technologies.  (Example LED) Researches all available rebates associated with possible upgrades. 

     

    Responsible for the installation and ongoing maintenance of all DMX amplifiers and players at all locations.

     

    Responsible for the installation and ongoing maintenance of all Enlighten digital media systems and associated TV's in the branches.

     

    Secondary Duties:

    • Provide backup support to the mail room and purchasing. Filling in during vacations etc. Refer to Mail room/Record Clerk job description for details and requirements of this position.
    • Provide backup for purchasing which consists of daily sorting and delivering of all supplies and packages received on the loading dock and other tasks associated with this area.
    • Generate reports as requested.
    • Supplies branches with express delivery packaging as needed
       

    This position is a back up to the mail room and purchasing.  This individual must be flexible in hours to maintain coverage for our corporate services mail room which hours are 6:30 am - 2:45pm.and will be required to be “On Call” as assigned including weekends and holidays.    

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND O/OR EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum 1 year experience working in Corporate Service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION..

    • Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
    • Physical Strength:   Medium work; exerting up to 50lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs. frequently, and/or 10lbs.
       

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Worker is subject to changing inside and/or outside temperatures which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees.)

     

    Works both inside and outside.  Subject to weather.

     

    Must work under hazardous conditions including high places, chemical exposures, electrical current, moving machinery, exposure to blood, etc.

     

    Frequent local travel and out - of - town travel. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

     

    Other Skills:

    Experience working on Microsoft Word and Excel

     

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
