  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Branch Director, leads the growth strategies of the region and the attainment of corporate and divisional goals.  Responsible for the overall sales and service management, operational integrity, employee engagement and staff development of the assigned territory within the retail branch network.  Oversees the branch office functions, manages the branch expansion programs and integrates technology and new customer channels into the region to achieve continued growth of customer relationships and deposits. 




    Delivers a customer-centric experience, meeting all the goals identified in the Customer Experience Playbook and associated training programs.  Handles customer service recovery and escalations as required.


    Works closely with branch managers in developing and implementing strategies to assure profitable growth; establishing business development plans, solutions, and methods to motivate staff in achieving these goals.  Leads the small business strategy for the region in the onboarding, prospecting and customer relationship management.


    Represents the district in corporate meetings and attends all necessary committees to ensure the district has a voice.  Attends retail leadership meetings weekly and other events as needed.


    Ensures a team-focused environment with strong employee engagement scores to maintain our “best place to work” culture.


    Acts as liaison with departments and branch managers to maximize sales efforts and results of promotions.


    Monitor and track results of sales promotions and work with the Branch Director to develop and implement incentives to support the business development and growth goals.


    Work with training manager to develop programs to enhance skills in branches and development of the team.


    Interview candidates for branch positions making recommendations for hire.


    Evaluate data and make recommendations for overall efficiency and productivity using available metrics and staffing models.


    Work with the Branch Managers to assure that the operational functions of the branches run smoothly and according to HarborOne Bank policies and procedures.  Oversee the branch management team providing support, input, feedback and guidance when necessary.


    Develop position standards, work plans, and recommend adjustments when necessary, according to type an amount of office volume.


    Compile and monitor data on branch statistics, customer experience, sales management data and prepare related reports for Retail Division.


    Work with security officer and Retail Operations and Risk officer to assure security and safety for the branches, and alert staff of any changes.  Also work with security officer to resolve fraud situations.


    Work with other department managers to insure quality of work coming from branches.


    Take an active role in assessing and recommending changes to policy and procedures.  Gather and disseminate information to branch office staff regarding policy and procedure changes.


    Oversee tracking and reporting of Members Financial Services activities.  Coordinates seminars as scheduled.


    Responsible for adherence to Bank Secrecy Act Requirements relative to CTR monitoring and filing. Ensures the region had met all compliance and regulatory requirements including satisfactory audit findings. 


    Oversees and coaches in the adoption of new technologies and strategic initiatives including Pathfinder CRM, The Navigator tool/guide, branch transformation and other innovations.  Acts as a thought leader in the area of innovation.



    Manages a team of branches working with branch managers and their employees.  Branch totals per region typically range from 10-15 in total.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of applicable regulations and laws including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; and Fair Lending.

    Maintain an up to date understanding of Bank policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.


    Complete appropriate compliance training and ensure staff complete all relevant compliance training and have an understanding of procedures related to their position.

    The VP Regional Manager is required to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("NMLS"), obtain a unique identifier and annually renew the registration, as defined by the S.A.F.E. Act requirements.



    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and five years of branch management or a combination of the two.   Branch Operations experience is required.



    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
