  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Officer, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all tasks related to the Deposit Operations area within the Operations Division. This position is in a fast-paced environment with several different processing time-frames, compliance regulations and daily deadlines.

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for processing and contributing to the daily activities to ensure all functions are completed accurately and customer requests and transaction settlement are completed within the established time constraints. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

     

    • Review critical maintenance (new accounts, CIP, role changes, name changes, social security number changes and address changes) reports to insure proper documentation and customer identification is obtained. Track exceptions in iDentifi Trak. Update missing CIP report and send letters when needed.  
    • Wire Processing and daily balancing.
    • Process Levies, Writs, Summons to Trustee orders in accordance with Final Garnishment rule. Identify HarborOne accounts, insure protected funds aren’t being held, hold funds as required, process payouts and releases according to the legal orders.
    • Process incoming research requests, and court ordered Subpoenas.
    • Process monthly Reg D exceptions. Mail out letters, process account maintenance and assess excessive transaction fee.
    • Process consumer loan e-payment requests:
      • Create ACH file and load it to Ibanking
      • Create and load swim file into insight
    • General ledger and internal account reconciliation.
    • Prepare monthly IOLTA committee reports.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Perform all duties professionally and within HarborOne policies and procedures.

    Complete appropriate audit form, identify exceptions and report to manager for resolution.

    Maintain a good understanding of all other Operations department processes and provide assistance as needed.

    Flexibility in hours to meet the needs of the business.

     

    COMPLIANCE

    Maintain an excellent understanding of applicable regulations and laws including but not limited to; Mass law governing Depository and Fiduciary accounts, TISA, Right to Financial Privacy, Bank Secrecy Act, Reg E, Reg D, Garnishment Rules and Reg. CC.

     

    Maintain an up to date understanding of the banks policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.

    Complete appropriate compliance training.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    At least 3 years’ related experience in financial services area. Proficient with Excel and Word.  Poses a proven track-record of attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to handle timeline pressures.

    The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented with strong banking knowledge of Deposit and Fiduciary accounts, CIP policy, Garnishment Rules, critical maintenance review and other duties described below. Experience in dealing in a high volume area, with the ability to identify, research and resolve exception items related to the duties listed.  This candidate must be able to perform the job functions with minimal supervision. Strong ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  The ability to work well with limited direction and strong communication skills within a team environment.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Maintain a thorough knowledge of the following systems: Insight, Digital Archives, Vision Archives, E-Statements, Fedline Advantage, iDentifi, ACBBN, Centrix Positive Pay, MoneyGram, Word, Excel, and Biscom (secure email)

     

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  This candidate must also have effective communication skills.

     

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
