Under the guidance of the Director of Alternative Delivery, oversee the daily tasks of the Deposit Operations team. Is responsible for the development and ongoing support for the following; Checking, Savings and Time Deposit products, ACH; Wire Transfers, CIP, IRAs; and any deposit related service used by HarborOne Bank. Utilizing effective communication skills to motivate the team to ensure daily operations are conducted efficiently and within customer focused standards. Ensures all work is completed in an accurate and timely basis following departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with appropriate state and federal regulations.

Works as liaison with data processor (COCC) for daily processing of all deposit, eforms and IRA functions. Maintains knowledge of all data processor's systems and related services. Through the subordinate managers, ensures that staff is knowledgeable and properly trained concerning use of the system.
Acts as a major participant on implementation of strategic planning items that support Retail/Marketing and the bank initiatives. Creates, implements monitors and initiative's related to efficiencies within Deposit Operations with a focus on customer satisfaction. Participates and leads in the development and implementation of new and improvement of existing products and services requiring utilization of strong organizational skills and leadership. Participates in the development of short and long range strategy for the division.
Act as subject matter expert in the daily processing and file transmission for all HarborOne deposit related vendors including Core (COCC). Develops new ideas for analytics, process improvement and data integrity. Ensure the operations team meets or exceed metrics set for daily, weekly and monthly timelines, accuracy, productivity and service.
Works as an effective partner across the organization and with business partners. Works directly with other departments to ensure flow of work and information is appropriate and issues are resolved; utilizes a thorough understanding of technological, financial industry business issues, and their interrelationships in creating solutions for our staff and customers.
Understands the urgency of matters related to commercial / business clients.
Monitors the effectiveness of operating policies and procedures and ensures their proper implementation and ongoing compliance. Oversees the documentation of policies and procedures.
Conducts process / procedure reviews and implements efficiencies through optimization and automation tools.
Ensures that all activities are performed within the guidelines of our quality service standards and develop goals and recognition criteria for the department.
Audits: Manages departmental audits. Ensures that the ACH annual self-assessment is completed.
COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of applicable regulations and laws including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; and wire remittance. Maintain an up to date understanding of bank policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of industry developments and pertinent regulatory issues. Primarily responsible for deposit, IRA, wire remittance transfers and EFT compliance issues (i.e. regs, E, D, CC; ATM/Debit cards; ACH/EFT; TIN certification; abandoned property; IRAs). Works closely with the VP of Compliance to ensure the bank is fully in compliance with regulations.
Complete appropriate compliance training and ensure staff complete all relevant compliance training and have an understanding of procedures related to their position.
Ensures that the business continuity plan is up to date and tested.
Manages subordinate managers who supervise employees in the Account Services. Is responsible for the coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five plus years of related experience or a combination of experience and training.
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Understanding of basic accounting principles.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
